Second Annual Kidsbridge Creative Character Education Youth Competition:  NEW Deadline May 20!

The theme of this year’s contest is: STANDUP4 DIVERSITY: How I Include and Respect Others.  Kidsbridge Executive Director, Lynne Azarchi commented: “We wanted to offer an opportunity for students to creatively express what it means to appreciate diversity — specifically how to respect others via a creative expression as an essay, a poster, or a video PSA.  What better way to inspire diversity appreciation and inclusion than to sponsor a state-wide competition for kids?”

There are three categories:  Essay, Art Poster and Video PSA.  Prizes (including a gift card, Walk2Stop Bullying T-shirt and goodie bag) will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners in each age bracket (second & third grades, fourth & fifth grades, sixth through eighth grades).  There will be a formal ceremony at our Fifth Annual WALK2STOP BULLYING where we’ll STANDUP4 DIVERSITY and acknowledge these winners.  All winning creative submissions will be setup in a gallery format at the Walk, which will be held on Saturday, June 18 at ETS/Educational Testing Service (660 Rosedale Road, Princeton). The gallery hours on Saturday are from 9:00 until noon.

Second Annual Educator Leadership in Character Education Awards Contest:  Extended Deadline May 5!

Kidsbridge also wished to recognize educators who were going “above and beyond” as leaders in their schools in the areas of character education, diversity appreciation and/or bullying prevention.  Kidsbridge is again partnering with Source4Teachers, and hopes to receive many nominations for educators in schools/districts around New Jersey who are making a difference every day. Reinforcing positive character education practices and sharing bullying prevention strategies with students in the classroom and school is essential in creating well-rounded students.

Prizes (including a gift card, Walk2Stop Bullying T-shirt and goodie bag) will be awarded to the first, second and third place educator award winners.  CLICK HERE for more information.
