MLK Day

Through art and interactive activities, we’ll celebrate Dr. King’s courage and accomplishments. Visit different rooms with your child to learn about Dr. King’s life and legacy, draw inspiration from his quotes and lasting messages, or craft a fun art project that taps into each individual’s creativity.  Each child will make a puppet, and they will collaborate with others to create and practice skits that resolve conflicts in a peaceful way.

This is the fifth year that a tolerance-themed program has been offered to MLK Day 2011families on Martin Luther King Day. We are grateful for funding sponsorship by J. Seward Johnson, Sr. 1963 Charitable Trust, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Novo Nordisk, and Discover Jersey Arts for funding this year’s program.
