Many supporters have expressed an interest is seeing the progress being made.  Frank Lucchesi, Kidsbridge Board Chair is pleased with the new arrangement:  “We were happy to find space in Ewing Township, as we aspired to remain geographically close to TCNJ, its professors and students and we’re less than two miles away!  We value our new partnership with the township–they have been terrific to work with!”

Prior to The Tolerance Museum moving to its new home in the Ewing Community & Senior Center last June, for eight years the museum was located in Forcina Hall on the campus of The College of New Jersey.

About the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum

Kidsbridge is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing imaginative, interactive exhibits and programs that focus on:  bullying prevention; tolerance, diversity appreciation and respect for all persons; victim empowerment and positive self-esteem; empathy and peaceful conflict resolution; UPstander versus bystander behavior; sensitivity for persons with disabilities; stereotypes relating to religious beliefs and gender choices; and youth grassroots activism.

Classes visiting the Museum participate in small group discussions with college students and professors from The College of New Jersey along with volunteers from the community who act as docents at the various interactive exhibits.  Strategies are presented that help youth visitors respond to prejudice and discrimination appropriately by making positive choices leading to pro-social constructive behavior. Surpassing our initial goals since opening in 2006, more than 2,000 undergraduates have successfully interacted with more than 15,000 visiting elementary, middle and high school youth and their teachers and school counselors. www.kidsbridgemuseum.org
