Special New Jersey Screening of “BULLY” Movie – May 24th

The BULLY movie is a documentary on the bullying crisis in U.S. schools.

“It is an extraordinary examination of the pain and anguish that bullying causes. The movie was produced to create a dialogue amongst kids, parents and educators to help us all understand bullying, its devastating impact, and our need as individuals and institutions to stand up and speak out to stop bullying,” said Lynne Azarchi, Executive Director of Kidsbridge.

Here are some facts about bullying that you need to know:

  • 13 million students will be bullied in the U.S. this year.
  • 3 million students are absent each month because they feel unsafe at school.
  • Bullying is not just “messing around.”  It is a serious problem that can cause lasting harm.
  • Bullying is a problem that transcends geographic, racial, ethnic and economic borders.
  • Kids who are perennially targeted suffer feelings of powerlessness and depression.

Kidsbridge (along with the JCC / Jewish Community Center of Princeton, Mercer & Bucks and the Jewish Family & Children’s Services) is sponsoring a private screening of BULLY! (The Motion Picture Association of America lowered the film’s rating to PG-13, making it easier for younger audiences to see it.)
